What to Expect

What are the services and music like?

Grove offers a blended service that includes both contemporary and traditional worship elements. Scripture, prayers, music and message are central to our worship together.  Each week is a new offering of contemporary and traditional liturgies, hymns, anthems, handbell choir and other musical offerings. The sermon is prefaced by a time with our children that seeks creative and engaged ways to make the message relevant to their lives.  Prayers consist of times for personal contemplative reflection, as well as opportunities to pray together as a community.  Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month and on other holy days. At the end of each service the congregation is offered opportunities to respond to God’s word through monetary offerings/tithes as well as opportunities to grow and serve at and through Grove UMC.

Pre-recorded worship services are also offered weekly on our YouTube page and may be accessed through this website.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code. When you come to worship, feel free to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. You will see casual dress to business attire. We believe God loves us as we are.

What about the kids?

Children of all ages are always welcome at Grove. Each week we provide children’s coloring and activity worship pages. Children's moments are offered prior to the sermon. As long as we are continuing to navigate COVID, we ask that children who have not been vaccinated to, like their favorite superhero, mask up for the service.

What about receiving communion?

You do not have to be a member of Grove, a United Methodist, or a member of any church to receive communion. The Lord’s table is open to all.
