What to Expect

  • Traditional Service - this service is more traditional with scripture reading, choral hymns, choir anthems and sermon.  It is more structured than the contemporary service.

  • Contemporary Service - this early service is a very low key worship service full of praise and worship singing and always a great message.  Come as you are to this informal service and grab a bite to eat and worship the Lord.

  • What's the music like?  The traditional service will have a featured anthem as part of worship sung by the Chancel Choir.  Also, once per month the worship music is provided by the Bell Choir.  The contemporary worship service music is lead by the praise band.

  • How people dress?  Wide variety - anywhere from suits to bluejeans.

  • What about my kids?  Grove has a nursery for under 5.

  • Can I take communion?  The table of Holy Communion is Christ's table, not the table of the United Methodist Church.  The table is open to anyone who seeks to respond to Christ's love and seeks to lead a new life of peace and love.  Grove United Methodist Church practices open communion meaning all who call Jesus Lord and Savior are welcome.

  • How can I get connected?  You can call or email the church.  Also the weekly bulletin will have opportunities listed for you to get involved and get connected.
